Anthropology

Master’s Degree in Anthropology or a Master’s Degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in any combination of the qualifying fields.

Art

Master's Degree in Art or a Master's Degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in any combination of the qualifying fields.

Dance

Master’s Degree in Dance or a Master’s Degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the qualifying fields.

Education

Master’s Degree in Education or a Master’s Degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in any combination of the qualifying fields.

English

Master’s Degree in English or a Master’s Degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in any combination of the qualifying fields.

French

Master’s Degree in French or a Master’s Degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in any combination of the qualifying fields.

History

Master’s Degree in History or a Master’s Degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in any combination of the qualifying fields.

Humanities

A Master’s Degree in a Humanities related field, or a Master’s Degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in any combination of the qualifying fields.

Music

Master’s Degree in Music or a Master’s Degree in Music History or a Master’s Degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the qualifying fields.

Applied Music

Master’s Degree in Music AND professional experience in teaching and performing in the specified area.

Philosophy

Master’s Degree in Philosophy or a Master’s Degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in any combination of the qualifying fields.

Political Science

Master’s Degree in Government, International Relations, or Political Science or a Master’s Degree with at least 18 graduate hours in any combination of the qualifying fields. A Juris Doctorate Degree with a current, unrestricted Florida Bar Association license can be used for certification to instruct POS 2041 and POS 2112.

Psychology

Master’s Degree in Psychology or a Master’s Degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the qualifying field.

Developmental Reading

Bachelor’s Degree with at least 18 undergraduate or graduate semester hours in any combination of the qualifying fields or a Bachelor’s Degree in Education with at least six semester hours in reading coursework.

Religion

Master’s Degree in Religion or Theology or a Master’s Degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in any combination of the qualifying fields.

Sign Language

Master’s Degree in the qualifying field or Master’s Degree and current American Sign Language Teachers Association (ASLTA), Interpreter Training for Hearing Impaired, or Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) certification. Master’s degree in any of the following qualifying fields or a related field.

Spanish

Master’s Degree in Spanish or a Master’s Degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in any combination of the qualifying fields.

Speech

Master’s Degree in Speech or a Master’s Degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in any combination of the qualifying fields.

Theater

Master’s Degree in Theatre or a Master’s Degree in Fine Arts or a Master’s Degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in any combination of the qualifying fields.

Developmental Writing

Bachelor’s Degree with at least 18 undergraduate/graduate semester hours in any combination of the qualifying fields
